  • B.Pharma or B.Sc/ M.Sc (preference - Bio-technology, Microbiology)
  • MBA Desirable but not essential.

  • Role and Responsibilities of the Business Manager:
  • Developing and Implementing sales / marketing Plan and Strategies within defined market segments / Area assigned independently.
  • Increase Doctor’s prescription and do business development for the defined territory for select injectables in critical care segment through Knowledge imparting forums viz. CMEs, Doctor’s interaction etc. Good communication skills are needed for this function.
  • To work closely with the Purchase Managers and Hospital Pharmacies to increase sales of Critical Care Medicines.
  • Meeting Sales and Collection Targets for Designated Territory.
  • To carry out KOL development activities in his/her territory to achieve targets.
  • Job entails extensive travel. Willingness to travel over vast areas is a pre-requisite.
  • Working closely with stockiest/distributors to deepen reach of our medicines.
  • Developing and nurturing Corporate hospitals for fast business growth
  • To do market research and carry out specific projects assigned to him/her from time to time.
  • To actively search and provide competitive market intelligence to team and HO.

Job Summary:

The Zonal Business Manager (ZBM) is a senior-level sales role responsible for driving the performance and growth of the defined product portfolio within a specified zone. This position oversees a regional sales team, ensuring execution of customer-centric strategies and achievement of sales targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a customer-focused business plan in collaboration with frontline managers and cross-functional teams
  • Build strong relationships with key doctors, hospitals, distributors, and stakeholders in the Critical Care segment
  • Monitor competition and drive performance based on company-defined metrics
  • Validate feedback and field data collected by Regional Sales Managers
  • Recruit, train, coach, and manage the zonal sales team effectively
  • Lead and motivate the team to achieve or exceed assigned sales targets
  • Plan and execute pre-launch strategies for new product introductions
  • Analyze market trends and provide strategic insights for business growth
  • Ensure operational compliance and maintain high standards in customer engagement

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum 8+ years of experience in pharma or healthcare sales
  • Strong understanding of the pharmaceutical industry landscape
  • Established network and good market knowledge preferred
  • Fluency in regional language and familiarity with the assigned territory
  • Experience in Critical Care segment is highly preferred
  • Proven track record in sales and business development

Educational Qualifications:

  • B.Pharma or B.Sc / M.Sc (Biotechnology / Microbiology preferred)
  • MBA is desirable but not mandatory
